Stevenage Carnival Organisation

In a bid to bring back the Stevenage Carnival in 2010 a group of like minded local people, spearheaded by the current Chairman Ian Begg, have joined forces to form the Stevenage Carnival Day Organisation (SCO).

Like all other towns the folk in Stevenage need something positive to focus on especially during the time of the recession and the SCO believe that the Carnival will:

• help local people forge closer relationships within the community
• give an opportunity for people to share their skills and make new friends
• heighten the profile of local groups and charities
• generate the much needed cash for local charities
• promote local businesses by providing free advertising through sponsorship
• provide a fun filled day for all  on the BIG DAY in June 2011
